Description:

Half a decade in the making, the Utah State Capitol was dedicated in 1916 and rededicated in 2008, serving as an awe-inspiring monument to the vital role of government and law in society as well as to Utah state history. Guided tours of the building offer guests a look not only at the physical majesty of the building and its many artworks, sculptures and murals, but also provides the story of the state itself, tracing its history back to the first Mormon pioneers. The downtown complex is just south of Memory Grove Park, surrounded by manicured lawns and local plants and just a short trip north from Temple Square.

Tours run hourly Mon. - Fri. 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
