Description:

Utah's largest zoo, Hogle Zoo features 250 distinct animal species, comprised of more than 1,100 animals in total drawn from six major geographic regions of the world. A variety of daily animal shows and zoo keeper talks gives deeper insight into the lives of these creatures, both in the zoo and in their natural habitats. For a break from dashing from habitat to habitat, visitors can take a soothing ride aboard the Zoo Train or the Conservation Carousel, featuring brightly painted hand-carved animals. It abuts This is the Place Heritage Park on the eastern edge of the city, set not far from the University of Utah.

Open daily Mar - Oct: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Nov - Feb: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
